Calabria is the region situated at the tip of the Italian 'boot' which means a the south ends of the country. As many other Italian region, its historical heritage is rich and the history of Calabria started a really long time ago with its colonization by the Greeks in the VIII century BC. There, you can find many churches and castles from ancient civilizations. This region kept many customs and traditions, each city has a festival once a year, the orange's festival in Tresbicasse, the strawberries one in Acconia, the smoked ricotta one in Mamollo and more. During your motorhome trip to Calabria, you can not missed the must-see of this region which are the Riace Bronzes, two sculptures representing fighters, and you can see them at the National Museum of Magna Grecia in Reggio Calabria. In Calabria, you can also have a rest on the Capo Vaticano beach and for the sporty one, the region offers many hikes, in the Sila National Park, or even the Aspromonte massif. To reward yourself after this long walk to the mountain top, do not forget to bring local specialities with you, like the bruschette with nduja or sardella and if you want to head down quickly, you can taste the pimento.
