The Haut-Rhin is situated in the northeast of France, next to the Germany and Luxembourg borders. Its administrative capital is Colmar which has over 125,000 inhabitants.

The Haut-Rhin is a beautiful destination, alongside the mountains of the Vosges. If you chose to make a trip over there, you will benefit from the great pleasure of the nature and the mountain. Renowned for its prestigious museums, this department also offers to its visitors, some fabulous discoveries of little typical villages, very colored and with a lot of flowers. Favorable to do nothing and be lazy for your holidays.

For the culture lovers, you can discover the museums of Automobile and Railway in Mulhouse or the museum in Alsace that recreates a village of the early century, authentic reflect as much in the architecture as in the heritage.

Visit Colmar and its rich historical heritage... And then, go on the wine road of Alsace : Turckheim, Kaysersberg, Kientzheim, Riquewihr and Ribeauvillé.

Before going to Mulhouse, take a break in Eguisheim and Thann. In the western part of the territory, you can enjoy the natural regional park of the Ballon des Vosges. Do not forget to visit the impressive Route of the Ridges (Col du Calvaire, Lac Blanc, Col de la Schlucht, Hohneck, Grand Ballon). Do not hesitate to make ski in winter in Markstein or in the station of the Lac Blanc.

It is also a typical place to taste some famous wines and delicious culinary specialities of the region.
