July 2020. Accustomed to Banon where I bivouacked ten times, I had posted VERY negative opinions and told the town hall and the TO of my dissatisfaction and I was not the only one. Indeed, the earthen car park, strewn with potholes, had gone from free to 2, then 4 € ...... BUT only the CCs paid, not the cars, nor the vans. Besides, it was dirty.We have to believe that our complaints have paid off since there is now a real area, with all services including the 220 which works with public lighting. I therefore invite you to visit the medieval village, its castle, to come to the cheese festival (goat cheese, coated with chestnut leaves). Above all, enter the magnificent BLEUET bookstore. World famous, where you can find thousands of books on several floors. SURPRISING. A small supermarket has been built next to the area. A small market of local products takes place under the hall. Public toilets are 100 m away. A municipal employee passes by to collect the 5 €, which I find justified.

The area is only temporarily open for parking and therefore free. Covid obliges. Services are closed until at least the end of March. Too bad the parking space is delimited flat and very well maintained the interesting village to visit while taking the opportunity to buy the local specialty the famous banon small goat cheese. Thank you to the municipality for making this place available.
