This is a small sloping carpark with parking for about 20 cars over-looking Charles Forth and the sea with NO dedicated motorhome parking spaces, suitable for small vans. There is 2 or 3 relatively flat spaces at the top.We parked parallel to the road further up where it's wide and behind the yellow line on a slight slope but perfect for a few nights. There is a constant flow of cars visiting Charles Forth, going for a walk or with people swimming in the small stoney cove. Pros: Free parking. Swimming area. Fishing area. Sea walk. 2 large bins. Cons: No services. No shade. The centre of Kinsale is 30 minutes walk away (maybe challenging to some as it's hilly) part of it, on a track beside the bay, where there is a lovely fish and chip shop called Dinos. Also check out the creamy cones from Centra. Charles Forth is worth a visit which is free to enter (€5 in normal times) at the moment due to covid-19 as the toilets and exhibitions are closed. It opens from 11am to 4pm. There is a small stoney swimming cove (no lifeguard) to the left of Charles Forth which had some jelly fish. The sea view 3km walk to Preghane Point along a narrow dirt track overgrown with ferns, brambles and nettles. It take about 45 minutes. We spent 2 very quiet nights here with 2 other motorhomes. Bugs/Mosquitoes. (They love us..) None as there was a constant sea breeze.

Area ideally located in front of Fort and Kinsale Bay. Very careful attention.
