Next to this ‘caravan’ park is a car park. If you’re in a motorhome you can stay overnight for free and use the public toilets (which are free). No need to pay to stay.

Small campsite very well equipped and very clean. Although located on the side of the road, it faces the sea. It is absolutely necessary to book either by calling the town hall, or by booking on the site, or by asking the glacier to do everything for you if your English is poor or zero... The site is protected by a code system at the entrance, also for the free showers and toilets. 27 pounds for a night of 2 people, a van and electricity. Congratulations to the municipality of Newtownabbey for this development.

Another good site for a quick getaway near Belfast but not as good as Sixmile in Antrim.. It has a small cafe, play park and near by shops but it can get noisy. On one side you have a 4 lane main road and the other side is the play park. Week ends can be very busy with the kids during the day, teenagers in the evenings and students coming from the pubs at night all making noises in the park but if you're a heavy sleeper this will not bother you. The best use of this caravan park would be somewhere to stay before getting the ferry back to Scotland or just getting off the ferry before exploring Northern Ireland.

Comfortable and friendly near Belfast. I couldn't figure out how to evacuate the chemical toilet.
