Warm welcome full of advice given to meet our expectations: visit La Cité de Carcassonne on foot (16 minutes on foot) sanitary and perfect location I recommend them, €51.40 for 2 nights +edf for a van for 2 people we completed the trip visit of the grand tour of the City the 2nd wall also and we ate at the restaurant "le Chaudron" a homemade cassoulet then guided tour of the Ramparts and the Castle then walk until reaching the Canal du Midi 15k on foot we are delighted step valid

Good point allows you to go to the city on foot quickly and easily. bad point: the price 25€ at the moment… the pitches are wide but can be muddy in rainy weather. the sanitary facilities are clean and maintained regularly. a toilet block is currently being completely renovated. bread service in the morning and snack in season. small grocery shop. the reception is commercial and nothing more. presence of an outdoor swimming pool, not open at the moment.

I arrived on site because the CaraMaps information said it was open but it had been closed since 9/30 (see photo). Furthermore, it must be specified that there is ONLY ONE campsite (not two as indicated). I settled in the adjacent camper area. Expensive for what it offers but at least you can reach the city on foot.

Fist week in September, was very quiet and the plot was very nice. The camp site was very well situated to walk in to the Cite about 10 mins along the river which is well lit and a good path. Also to walk into the center of Cacassonne about 30mins along the same path. Toilet block, I just don't understand why they have men and women in the same block, they have separate entrances but don't segregate them. Also no toilet seats, found this a common theme in france. Also BYO toilet paper. Great idea of having a themed food truck come to site. Location 5, Parcel 4, WC/Showers 3, Facilities 4 - Will return location perfect.
