We have just spent several days here again; Parking remains free, but more services. installation of a new terminal. The price is €2 for water and €5 for 24 hours of electricity; which is very reasonable. We were alone on this March 24, and a few passages. But it is true that there is no water, closed for wintering.

Area closed until May 4 for work.Abolition of free electricity and water connection. Terminals and taps are removed. In the meantime, possibility of parking opposite, towards the port where you can connect to the terminal with a token. (2€ for 6h of current).

We returned to Beaulon on 10/17, because it is one of our favorites where we like to spend from time to time.We have known this area since 2017, and unfortunately that has changed a lot! It was a lively place with regulars and passing people; with exchanges between motorhome operators and boats in the canal port. All year round, there were people, like a small village; even Dutch passing through or staying a little longer. So what happened? Of course the Covid has been there and it hasn't helped. Some have been spread out in front of the port for weeks with a trailer, cooks, car, etc. like camping; the municipality has put the hola there; Others squatted a little too much the electrical outlets and here too the municipality intervened. We can tell at first glance that they have done well! But when we see that there were only 2 motorhomes left when we went there, we wonder if the town made a good calculation, when we saw everyone shopping in the shops of the town ! And what a difference with this living space and exchanges, and this pretty little corner which seems very sad now! By the way, the municipality could remove this old abandoned garbage camper van, which has been lying around here for many months.
