Lozère is located in the south of France, the administrative capital is Mende and the department has about 15.000 inhabitants.
It is a real paradise for nature and tranquility lovers ! This department is a former province of Gevaudan, located in the heart of the Massif Central. There, you can find spectacular landscapes, very varied but above all well preserved for the great pleasure of hikers.
Raise your head and have a look at the picturesque villages and hamlets: Aubrac (basaltic land of huge plateau and old volcanoes), Margeride (granite land), the Gorges of Tarn and Jonte, the Causse (limestone land and very steep valleys) and the Cévennes (schist and granite lands)... So many great and authentic natural spaces to go on foot, in a horse or in a bike along the numerous paths and trails offered by the Lozère.
Have a nice trip!
