The Bas-Rhin is a french department situated in the northeast of France. Strasbourg is its administrative capital with more than 270,000 inhabitants.

The Bas-Rhin offers you a great trip, as well as for its architecture, history, religion, as its gastronomy and traditions. The Roman Road, the typical villages of Alsace, the fortified castles, the famous Alsace wine road, the Vosges forest and its european capital Strasbourg are part of the numerous remarkable sites and places of the Bas-Rhin. For discovering the Bas-Rhin, you can begin your trip with Strasbourg, the Notre-Dame catedral, the Petite France y the Rohan Palace. Then, go to the south in Orschwiller to visit the Haut-Koenisbourg castle. To the west, you can visit Marmoutier and its church. And to the north, the city of Haguenau where you can find the museum of Alsace.

Do not forget to take a break in the natural regional park of the Vosges where you have the chance to discover the fauna and the flora or go hiking.
