The Aisne is located in the north part of France and has the name of the rive which crosses the territory.
The department is marked by a lot of scars of the French Revolution and the two wars. It is also characterized by the variety of its landscapes : forests, rocky with edges, groves, canals, valleys and vineyards.
The most beautiful cities are : Laon, Saint-Quentin, Soissons, Château-Thierry... You absolutely have to visit it as well as the beautiful monuments which survive from the war : impressive medieval churches in Laon, Braine, Urcel and some castles such as the castle of Ferté-Milon.
Enjoy your trip !
