For children as for adults, trips can sometimes seem very long. So how to overcome boredom and keep busy during a long journey in a motorhome?
1. Listening to music
Obvious, but very effective, put on music to the taste of all crew members. Sing out loud, time will fly and good mood will be spread! If you don’t have a Bluetooth kit, consider preparing your CDs or your wireless speaker.
You can also take advantage of the trip to listen to an audio book or a podcast. Subjects are very varied: travel, adventure, culture, politics, sport, parenthood, personal development, etc.
2. Playing games
Known by all generations, car games are the best way to pass the time. Here are a few small examples that you may already know:
- Yellow car: say “yellow” each time you cross a yellow car
- Twingo: say “Twingo” each time you see a Twingo car
- Neither yes nor no: answer questions without ever saying “yes” or “no”
- Alphabet: do the whole alphabet with the words or names displayed on road signs
- Riddles: think of a word and make others guess it by answering questions
- And of course, parents’ favorite game: the king of silence!
Underestimated by adults, coloring is a perfect activity to relax as much as possible and clear your mind. Of course, this activity is exclusively reserved to passengers!
While coloring cartoons for children and mandalas for adults, you will arrive at your destination relaxed and ready to fully enjoy your vacation.
Another activity for passengers. If you are not sick in the motorhome, take advantage of the trip to read (books, newspapers, guides, etc.). You can also read aloud to benefit other passengers, especially the driver, or test the alternative of audio books with Audiobooks.
5. Getting organized
Take advantage of the journey to organize yourself and prepare the program for your holidays. Tours, activities, make a list of everything you want to do, and try to fit it all into your schedule.
6. Playing game books
Crosswords and sudokus for adults, vacation notebooks for children… Time flies when you’re busy and focused on an activity.
